3. HRT Not Recommended to Prevent Heart Disease
Healthy women who’ve already gone through menopause shouldn’t take hormone replacement therapy (HRT) medication for the prevention of heart disease, dementia and bone loss, advises the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force.
4. Urine Test for Bone Loss Better Than X-Rays
Scientists have developed a new method of diagnosing osteoporosis which uses a simple test that measures the calcium content of urine to detect any increase in bone loss, a procedure considered faster and safer than X-rays, the current test method.
